Sudden FPS Drop and GPU Overload

I’ve encountered a serious performance issue while playing skate. Initially, the game runs smoothly at 70–100 FPS on ultra settings, but after a random amount of time, the performance suddenly drops to around 7 FPS. When this happens, my GPU usage spikes to over 100% according to monitoring tools, and the game becomes nearly unplayable.

Lowering the graphics settings to the lowest only recovers the game to ~30 FPS, which is far below expected performance for my hardware. Restarting the game or PC temporarily resolves the issue, but it eventually comes back.

My system specs:

NVIDIA RTX 5060, AMD Ryzen 5 5600, RAM: 32 GB

OS: Windows 11
Nvidia Driver version:  11.0.5.245

This issue appears to happen randomly during gameplay and does not seem to be tied to specific in-game actions. I’ve already tried lowering settings, updating drivers, and checking for overheating, but the problem persists.

    Same issue here. Runs on Ultra settings fine at about 120fps / 60-70% GPU usage, then suddenly drops to around 20fps and pinned at 99-100% GPU usage. 

    System specs:

    Windows 11, NVIDIA RTX 5060, Intel i5 12600K, 32GB DDR5 RAM @ 6000Mhz

    This is so odd! I have a similar issue

    See, the game will run fine for up to a minute, then the GPU just slams out and drops me to 9fps.
    And anytime I DO turn down the graphics the fps gets locked to 30 for some reason, haven't really figured out why.

    I'm on Win10 with an RTX 5060ti driver ver 581.29, an R7 5800x, and 32GB of DDR4

    I'm hitting a sort of frame cap while my GPU is reporting like 50% use and temperature that line up with that figure.

    Win11, RTX 4080 Super, 5800X3D, 32GB DDR4, 1440 @ 165hz

    i have the same issue, everything runs fine for maybe 5 minutes but then i get 8-15 fps and as you said in the post, restarting the computer or the game is only a temporary fix, so far i haven't found anything that fixes it. it makes the game completely unplayable. 

    specs: rtx 5060, 32gb ddr5 ram, windows 11, ryzen 5 7600 and nvidia drivers version 581.29

    Same problem here.
    Sometimes no problems on 3 hours session. 
    But sometimes, lock to 15 fps, 100% usage gpu and i need to restart game.

    And i'm on RTX 5060 too...
    Devs ???

    Seems like all of us reporting the same issue are on an RTX 5060....
