System Locks Up While Gaming, Requires Hard Reboot

I am able to launch and play the game normally for approximately 30–60 minutes. After that, the entire system becomes unresponsive without any obvious trigger. When the issue occurs, my Xbox controller disconnects and its indicator light begins flashing, and all other applications stop responding as well. The system does not recover on its own, and I have to force a shutdown by holding the power button on the PC case to reboot the machine. I have tried checking crash logs for the game, but the folder is empty, probably because the game doesn't technically crash, since I reboot. I am playing on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with the game installed on Steam. I also have the EA app installed.
