Waiting on Players while playing solo (PC)(Steam)

I've been getting stuck while attempting all 3 different types of challenges while playing solo. The challenges load me in and when Vee finishes speaking or I skip; I get stuck with a "waiting for players" message. The only thing that fixes it is Alt+F4.
