What happened to hardflips, varial/varial heel and inward heelflips?

What happened to hardflips, varial/varial heel and inward heelflips?

Since the season 1 update I'm finding it impossible to do hardflips, which before the update were a thing of beauty. Now every time I do one it does some insanely fast 360 hardflip, which I can't stand lol. On the rare occasion I manage to do a hardflip it's like 2 inches off the ground, even with the min pop height at 50/100. The same goes for varials/inwards.

Am I going crazy? I have a new controller so it's def not that, and I'm doing the exact input I've been doing since I started playing (the day the NDA got lifted, can't remember the date now).
