Your argument is specious. I am a 2.something M GP player in carbonite 3 currently. I started my account less than three months ago. I am the definition of a small, new, player. It seems you made a false assumption, and I’ll accept your apology.

I am regularly matched against accounts with two, three, or four times my GP. They aren’t harassing or abusing me, they’re simply being matched against other accounts with the same rating. I don’t take it personally, because it’s not. By doing so they are losing crystal income which is moving to other, smaller, accounts and it all trickles down. I have little doubt that within a few months I can move up to Chromium and accelerate progress even faster. This would be slowed or prevented by having a GP floor for accounts in GAC. As such, rather than abusing me they are in fact giving me a leg-up.

You’re also ignoring the fact that players in Carbonite need to use, at most, six teams and two fleets. This is enough to fill all slots on defence and for one attack per zone on offence. The advantage of these big GP accounts is much less than you believe, indeed it seems as though most of your issues with this mode are perceptual.
