For the ones still struggling in windows systems I posted a temporary fix in another thread , basically get a required missing file icu.dll (check online for win64 versions in dllme.com or dll-files.com) next to FirebaseCppApp-12_6_0.dll (C:\Program Files (x86)\SWGoH\SWGoH_Data\Plugins\x86_64)

Well, a new Era has begun. And I still don't have normal access to the game, it still throws me to the desktop. The method suggested by 7f96ea0de08ae7ae doesn't work for me. Please help.

The game launches fine on my phone, but on my PC it still kicks me back to the desktop after launching. It's uncomfortable for me to play on my phone. But at least I found out my own Ally Code.

What windows version are you running on your PC?

Are you playing through usual EA app or with some android emulator?

There's a player.log over C:\Users\(...)\AppData\LocalLow\Electronic Arts\SWGoH that could provide some errors info.

i followed the path you indicated and found the folder containing some files and text logs.. one of them mentions a login error, but to be honest, i don't understand what i'm supposed to look for there.

I asked 2 other questions that you forgot to clarify... That ERROR what does it mentions afterward? 

Try to clean all local cache files inside these folders:

C:\Users\(...)\AppData\Local\Temp\Electronic Arts\SWGoH

C:\Users\(...)\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop

C:\Users\(...)\AppData\Roaming\Electronic Arts

If you still have errors try a complete reinstall again.
