So I'm not to far from just beginning the game and I'm being placed against players 3 million above. It's not even fun to play since there's zero chance of winning. If that's what I can expect moving forward, I might as well delete the game. Honestly, if it's not fun, then it's not really a game anymore. Having the bottom ranks of Grand Arena being filled with Galatic Legends means actual low players are just pounded on and that turns a fun game into something that's not enjoyable. Players with double your power aren't beatable so what's the point.

I'm in a similar position, just with a different mindset. I see Grand Arena not as the ultimate goal of the game, but rather a good place to test my mettle against difficult opponents, while snagging some earnings in the process.
This game is a waiting game. Other games (most games I should say) measure their progress in hours or days. Some, like the Zelda games, may take months if you're playing casually. This game measures progress in years, even at the top of the leaderboards. Don't let one game mode of this game scare you away from the whole thing. Try Conquest, or find a fun guild, or maybe just focus on your favorite faction and upgrade them.
This game has a lot of different ways to play, so you don't need to stress GA.

"there's zero chance of winning. " This isn't true. They're in low carbonite for a reason. Either they're not very good and lose a lot. Or (and more likely) They're not playing at all or seldom playing. You probably, have a better chance of winning if they hardly or never play.
"It's not even fun to play" Well, this is true. It shouldn't be happening. CG, premier environment (for more than most) is Grand Arena and if your first experience is playing vs a multi-million GP account with bells and whistles....................... It's a really poor advertisement and experience. It shouldn't be happening.
CG really need to think whether this should be an early gamer's experience of GAC; playing vs an account where win/loss is determined on whether the larger player turns up or not, it isn't right.
2 suggestions that I think need implementing is
- Tadpole league. New players start in the tadpole pond and it's impossible to drop into this league. Once the tadpoles promote out of the lily pads, they can never return.
- Dropping leagues. If a player drops so many leagues or divisions that their GP is ***% over the average GP of the division, they are grouped together with only rosters that are also ***% over the average of the division. (This only applies to rosters demoted below the average GP, and not rosters that are promoted above their average GP).
I think both of these suggests would really help GAC and wouldn't harm anyone. It mostly would affect those that hardly or never play, so they'd hardly notice.
