Journey quests for boba

Right I've been trying to do the journey quest for baba for the light speed token but I've done it so many times set off thermal detintors but no matter what I do it jsur stays at 1 I don't kill them with it cause my dengar is too week to someone said that u can't kill them for it to count but I do it multiple times in 1 battle not even 1 gets counted for
