Pirates in Kessel didn't count towards episode quest to defeat Pirates

does the enemy get defeated by damage over time effects or something because that counts as they defeating themselves not you defeating them

Sometimes the enemies in PvE events also don’t have the kinds of tags that you would expect, so just won’t count for quests. Given that these units were created for RotE before the pirate faction even existed i would expect they were coded then, and still are now, without pirate tags.

I faced a similar issue several times when doing anniversary quests for LSTs

It wasn't the DoTs that were defeating the Pirates, or if there were some, not all of them. Given that Gunner changed the status to confirmed, it is indeed miss tagged units
