Acting Career: unresponsive

My sim has enrolled in the acting career and cannot progress. The auditions get stuck on incomplete even after receiving the notifications panel pop up saying my sim has passed the audition. 
If i save, close, and reopen the game, it toggles as passed and the gig is scheduled. However, when the gig time and day roll around, she passes it by without any action or button to tell her to go to her gig. 
Even days after the gig was originally scheduled it still remains unable to be accomplished. 
Please fix this so the get famous pack isn’t missing elements that us lovely simmers paid for.
