Sims 4
Cannot adopt children, Sim does not leave lot to collect them.
Tried ono several different games, none worked.

This is happening to me too! For me the sim goes to the edge of the lot then glitches and jumps to the side and cannot adopt. It’s so frustrating bcs I’ve had to stop playing the save for the time being.
This should have been fixed on 7/26 for computers and 7/29 for consoles. Can you both make sure your game is fully up-to-date and try again?
