Animal shed animals stuck in inventory after attending the fair.

I now have 3 cows and several llama’s stuck in my inventory’s in different games because they cannot be deleted or placed back into the animal shed. It doesn’t let you buy a new one as it says “currently occupied by an animal” but no animal comes out nor can I interact with them. This is happening on every save now and has been happening for months. My game is up to date. Their needs are deteriorating whilst in the inventory but nothing can be done.
