I'm trying to study a historical display at the museum for the event and no matter what I click all I get is view with Emits picture on it. I've tried all my museums. I even took out my mods and repaired the game and still the same thing.

resetting the Sim after viewing museum items worked to fix this for me
same..trying to complete the task..and I did get to view the item and it worked, but when I tried to travel the game got stuck...I cannot complete the quest
I had this issue as well.
I managed to get it to accept by selecting view on these ships.
Same issue here, nothing is working
I have viewed stuff at every museum and nothing registers and my quest will not progress.

I was also having this issue. I put a random museum in Newcrest and placed the same 2 objects that Trowicia used. Then I did like Crin said and just "viewed." The proper wording never came up for me, but it did fulfill that step of the quest.
I had this same issue. I kept choosing "view" over and over again for quite some time and it finally worked. I was about to give up.
+1 That I was also having problems with this one. I don't have the museum in Willow Creek anymore because I replaced it with another lot so had to go into another world for their museum. Nothing was working until I saw one comment on this thread. I had to buy "The Enduring" table and place the "One The Hunt Statuette" and place it on the table for this quest to be fulfilled.
