Cannot exit Live Drag cursor if a gameplay choice appears

When I was trying to Live Drag objects, a scenario with choices appeared and my cursor was still in Live Drag. I was no longer able to select an option or exit the full screen and had to close the entire application and restart. I lost game progress as well.

I have a video that it is not letting me attach but the bug can be recreated anytime the gameplay gives choices while user is in live drag. 

I do NOT use cheats in my gameplay.
