Can't place furniture

Hello, I've been experiencing this issue for several days now, as has a friend of mine. I play on console (PS4) and she's on XBOX Series X. 

The bug appears when placing furniture in Build Mode. It becomes impossible to place certain specific items, like cabinets, chairs, or stoves. When we try to place them, they simply disappear as if they were never placed. This happens regardless of the household funds, the packs that are enabled, or even after all updates and Sims Deliveries have been installed. Restarting the game also doesn't fix the issues; the bugs persists. However, walls, windows, doors, and all other build elements still work fine and can be placed normally.
