Could this please be clarified further? This answer does not explain clearly how the tattoo limit seems to work in the game or - and maybe I'm just having a hard time comprehending how the limit works - the issue that I'm having with Custom Tattoo Limit pop-up in my game.

"Hey all, This is by design due to file size limitations, a max of 100 tattoos can be applied on a single save (this count is applicable only for playable Sims)."

All of my custom tattoos exist on only my played/currently playing households (as in I haven't moved them from my saved households) and I've gotten the tattoo limit pop-up. If it's true that 100 tattoos can be applied to a single save for playable Sims, why am I getting this pop-up in my game? I also have tried removing tattoos from sims I've placed them on and I'm still getting this pop-up. I'm a PS5 player, so have no mods.

Oh my god, there is a limit on tattoos? Are you serious?

Hey there sageandthistle

If you've reached the limit of 100 tattoos on your save file, you will need to remove some of your existing tattoos in order to add more to that save.

Are you still seeing this pop-up after you've removed a large number of tattoos from your save file?

RutaAE yes there is a limit of 25 tattoos for playable households that they didn't tell anyone about apparently. Though it seems like maybe only console players (like me) have it, which I won't comment on.
