Dead sims are not greyed out in the relationship panel/Family tree

crinrict​ sorry to tag you again, I know there are new adventure awaits bug reports to contend with but I've never actually sent a save file to EA, I've looked through the official post with information on how to do so but I realized I don't know who to send it to, is there a particular members of the sims team I should PM it to?

Usually it's the person who asked for the saves but EA_Solaire​ is fine (at least as of today, things can always change over the years) :D

Press continue and you’ll get into my family. Most of their friends are dead, I marked them. Some are even in the same household. Some of them are grayed out, some not. No connection - if it’s in same household or in any household at all. Just some of them are gray, but most of them are not

I did some testing, and it seemed to happen when the sim died on the same lot as me.

it happens with plenty of sims i get phone calls about who are not on my lot (which coupled with the phone calls not actually giving you information bug makes it very hard to tell who has died ever lol), I think it's random tbh

I've had this happen with sims who I created as ghosts in CAS, so not just dying on the same lot. In this instance it was sims who didn't die of old age. But who knows if that's just a correlation rather than a cause of the bug.

I created my sim's family as ghosts in CAS. The 2x ghost sims who didn't die from old age (death by pufferfish & overheating) showed as alive in the family tree.

I decided to do more testing while i had a mod free fresh save running

I drowned 4 sims in a pool all at the same time and not a single one of them shows as a ghost in my relationship panel (that row of sims in my relationship panel are all of those graves)

Something I caught this time is that the sim who dies does "refresh" in the panel but then just shows back up in full color. You can see their portrait disappear for a second after they die as if it is going to change appearance but then it doesn't (I took screenshots but I forgot that the capture button doesn't capture UI so unfortunately the relationship panel isn't visible, but it goes regular sim image -> no portrait image for a second or two -> regular sim image)
