Disappointment

I haven't been able to play after this recent update. I would try to load into the game, and I'm immediately taken back to the residential page, which has never happened before. Then I'd try to load in, and it'll take me right back to the residential page. Why does SIMS even try to update at this point? It's been a week of this happening.
