[FR] Maintenance Troubles on Residential Lot: Can't do required task

Same!

I had Explosive Malfunction with an actual explosion once, I think. Other times (more than 5 now in a few days, on different saves) - nothing is broken and the challenge can't be completed. Same goes for Garden Blight - had it several times, and no blight. Don't even know what it looks like.

Hello, I'm having this issue I believe, nothing is possilbe to cross off because nothing breaks

but i fixed it by forcefully breaking an object with a cheat  and then replacing it :/

Can confirm this is still an issue. My stove/grill allegedly keep exploding but they are in perfect working order and now I can't access build/buy for 24 hours.

Same issues here.  Garden Blight and Broken stove (explosive) events keep starting, but each time there are not affected items to resolve, so I cannot end the event or go into build mode. 

I am having the same issue in multiple households.  I have had Garden Blight and Explosive Malfunction at least three-four times now in various households and there is never anything for me to fix and it just prevents me from using build/buy. Each time the event ends and nothing bad happens.

I was able to find the Cursed Book once and mail it away but the previous two times I haven't seen the book anywhere and the event just disappears after a while.

Has anyone been able to find a workaround fort this? It’s such a cool feature that really makes a lot of difference on how fun and unexpected playing The Sims 4 can be. If only it worked on residential lots, not just apartments.

Same problem for me with Garden Blight and Explosive Malfunction. Extremely annoying because I can't cancel the event but can't move on another lot until it's resolved (so I'm stuck at home for the day).

However the Cursed Book seems to work.
