My sim kept getting warnings about not paying her rent even after she did pay it. They came an repossessed items because she "didn't pay rent" even though she was always paying it. They started to threaten to kick her out of her apartment for non-payment of rent, after she had in fact paid every time it came up, and I finally had to cheat her more money and move her into a house to solve this issue.
