Freezing after using build mode or mods

Has anyone else had issues since the update? I added back all my CC in the game and ever since I started playing when I would go into any menu or build mode it would like freeze or put in like the camera mode where I can move up and down on my camera but I can’t click any of my sims pause or play so I have to restart my whole game
