Game not connecting to the internet

For the past week or 2, every-time I’ve logged into the game; using a PS4 the game is not allowing me to use the online elements of the game, thus not allowing me to claim the rewards I've earned. Whether its an issue with the console or game il unsure, but i thought it would be worth mentioning, with the event ending in just 3 days I am needing a solution if i want to claim all my rewards. The console itself is connects perfectly to any network i give however the sims game continues to only give me an offline version, which is inevitably frustrating, if anyone could inform me of whether this is due to the game, or my console please let me know!
