After the latest update, a dear and active sim of mine is suddenly dead, a sim loved by all the community, with a big family, and they all are grieving now. The first thing I did was to go to Game Options to see the Gameplay option where I checked before that my actives sims don't age automatically, but now I have no option to go to Gameplay, is this new? Because I had not checked it in a while, but I know I could go in there and change things like aging. But I don't know why my sim died, he wasn't old, and I don't know why I don't have the option to Gameplay. Also, when I try to play one of my sims that I left in a restaurant, when I load her to go to the restaurant the game gives me an error and ask me to relaunch it. The diamond in the page loading goes rapidly from green diamond to squares with weird images. I tried with no mods nor CCs. I am sad my sim is dead.😔

Try the following
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
For the game options, make sure to check in a save game. They aren't available from the mainmenu
