Getting a Tattoo/Group/Active sim Bug

I'm playing with household of 6 and I sent 2 of them to get a tattoo in the new town. I picked get a "custom tattoo", and cas opened fine. The problem was, once I completed the tattoo, my "active sim" was one of the sims I had left at home and when I switched back to the sims that were at Spilled Neon, they were inside the residential side of the building and everyone on the lot was in my group.
