Glossy sheen overlay on new Sim in CAS

When making a new Sim in CAS, suddenly while putting together outfits, the entire character would have this glossy/shiny overlay (as seen in attachments). It would turn on and off while choosing new items or changing outfit categories. I tried restarting my game, I tried deleting the sim and making a new one several times, it would inevitably occur after a while in CAS. No specific item or category seems to trigger this.

Once I saved the Sim, it would still show up glossy in the household picture. In game, the Sim appears normal in world, but in the UI corner icon, it still appears glossy. (all this is shown in the print screens I've attached)
