While playing today my infant got the sit up milestone. However the game would not progress further. This is my first time having the bug since the update and getting new packs. The infant got the sit up milestone approx. 10 times in the span of 2 in game days.

I'm having the same issue. As an infant the didn't really get any milestones but still got the top notch infant trait. As a toddler they got some of the milestones. But they should be having way more by now. I tested it by letting my toddler read a book but i didn't get the "read first book" milestone while having imagination and communication maxed out. The only skill "only" at level is thinking.
Same issue. Infants have the sparkle animation, and the music plays but there is no notification and the milestone is never reached. Everyone in the household keeps stopping what they're doing to "watch milestone". They've been doing the toe-in-mouth animation repeatedly, but it still doesn't say they've reached the milestone. I'm going to try to repair the game and see what happens.
I started having this issue today too, so I moved the infant into another household and then went back into manage households again without leaving manage worlds and moved the infant back into my household and then the milestones started working again.

Usually resetting my game works, but it's not anymore. So I'm done with the game til they decide to actually sit down and fix it. I backed up my important folders for whenever they get out a fix.
Thanks for this. Were you automatically given the milestones that were already achieved or have they gone completely?
The infant sim retained all the milestones she’d gotten before I had the glitch, but for the ones that she wouldn’t get with the glitch (the grab, laugh, and crawl milestones in my case), I had to redo the interactions that would achieve them, but it worked on the first try.
So for example I tried “practice crawling” after moving her back in and she got the crawling milestone properly as soon as the interaction completed.
This is excatly what I'm going thru right now. So frustrating.
I seem to be able to get all of the infant milestones without issue. It's toddlers I am having issues with. I still cannot achieve the "learn to run" or "maxed movement skill" milestones. These were supposed to have been fixed in a recent patch, but the issue still remains. I also have hit or miss success with achieving the "have first nightmare" milestone for toddlers. My toddler will have a nightmare and wake up and I'll get a notification for it, but the milestone never comes. I've tried with toddlers with low thinking skill. I have only gotten it to work for toddlers who were not played as an infant first.
