Highchair interactions not working

Once a toddler has been put in the highchair, when the adult tries the serve food interaction the plate or bowl gets stuck to their hand.

This stays stuck to their hand until they leave the lot for work and return with the plates in their inventory. It also stacks so my sim had 2 plates of spoiled food stuck to them.

When using the highchair for an infant the plate doesn't appear on the tray and the milestone doesn't pop up but the infant does the animation and gets stuck doing it so cannot do anything else. It also doesn't improve their hunger need.
