I can't rebirth my sim after spend all day trying to make it die...

When I got to the purple pond to rebirth my sim it does not take me to the option to manage worlds and to actually rebirth. Then When I come back to the game, my sim is gone and I end up having to load and older saved file to get my sim back. This happened after my earlier issues... I am so frustrated, my sim would not die. The reaper kept showing up during the death experience only to make my sim alive again without the death flower and without any other sim trying to plead the death. I am livid. I paid my hard earned money for this and can't even play the content.
