It doesn't let me play

After the last update I tried to start a new save file. I managed to create a new household, and until then the game had no issues at all. However, when I chose the lot I wanted my sim to live, instead of letting me play with said sim and all it took me directly back to manage worlds. When I opened the world in question the lot was taken by my sim, but once again I couldn't load the gameplay itself, as it kept taking me back to manage worlds. I tried also with one of the existent households, trying to play with the sims there, but the same problem occurred. Even when I tried to get the sim travel to other places, like the park or the gym, it just took me back to manage worlds. What confuses me is that when I tried to click the build button, instead of play, there were no issues whatsoever, I could build on any lot without problems. I read that others had similar issues after the last update..
