The game stops working after I try to open the children's character menu. I can't go into build mode. I can't save. I can't interact with any of the menu buttons. The high school kids no longer show they are enrolled in school under career.

The original issue has been fixed a while ago which is why I'm locking this.
There's still mods that can cause issues so make sure to updated them or test without.
Please create a new thread If you still have this issue on a new vanilla save game
August 10th and they've still done thing about this. The game keeps crashing, sims toddlers wont sleep so their being taken away. Grim Reaper is taking 3 days to do his job with the animals i cant plead for. Unacceptable

Having the same issue. I play with mods, took them all out and same thing. When I put back in my mod folder, Better Exceptions started flagging all my mods, some broken, some that got updated after the July 28 update.
Also, I cannot find anyone to "help fix broken relationships" for since the lovestruck pack, including townies I know have bad relationships. I have checked under every single social menu with these townies (L. Faba, Malcolm Landgraab to name a couple).
There is also an issue affecting various items. Realm of Magic spell/potion tomes are unreadable (appropriate level of magic, don't know the spell/potion, but it won't let my Sim read it). Items purchased after using the hidden objects cheat are not functioning correctly. I tend to play spellcasters a lot, and this plus the unable to travel bug are making the game unplayable.
I lost all my saves right after updating.
I cant enter EA OR SIMS ! it wont launch, i even updated all my mods (which i only have MC command.) They need to fix their game!
I just updated and now I can’t use it with Mods. It loads to the main screen, but it doesn’t show what mods are installed. Instead every time it loads up I’ve got a pop up from the new love struck game pack and if I try to close it out it freezes and I have to force quite. I’ve dismissed this pop up like 20 times without mods loaded and it still pops up and freezes the game. This happened the last time they added content and the only way I got it fixed was to buy literally every game pack I hadn’t yet so it would stop having pop ups about content I should buy. Now I own it all but I’m still got pop ups on loading. I wish these pop ups would stop.
Still doesnt work after the update for the update, which should have fixed the issues. One of my saves doesnt have any problems with the simology panel, but all of the others are still broken. I am so sad about this and hope that my save isnt completely broken forever.... :(
