Kids can't grab a portion from party size

I don't know if it also applies to family size, because when i play with families I always cook the largest size meals. Anyway my child sim can't grab a portion from the party size anymore. i tried from the fridge as well as the counter en neither worked. I removed my mods and the issue still occurred. Also it happened randomly whilst I was playing so in the morning she was fine and when I tried to let her have dinner she suddenly couldn't anymore.
