This has been going on for me for a long time. I can't find anyone in Search who has the same issue. When I click on my sim's fridge, stove and computer it takes a long time for the menu to pop up to make a selection. I just sit there waiting. The Sim's freeze and when the menu finally opens the time shoots forward. I have never used cc or mods.

PC user, and me too! I've had this problem for years now. I keep checking back every so often to see if anything's been done about it. 🫠 Fridges, ovens, and computers. I've started to avoid using my fridge and oven, and only use the grills and campfires. In the time it takes to get the menu to open up, I could've already made a pot of frank and beans! XD
Here lately I've also noticed more and more things are being added to this list. When I'm clicking on other sims or my played sim, and when I open the simology panel. The simology panel was always a little slow, but the milestones and formative moments really bogged it down. I kinda regret getting Adventure Awaits. 😬🤐

Everytime I go to use the shower or computer, it takes anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds to load. This doesnt seem like a bother, but for people who play for several hours on their weekend, its beyond annoying. Its taking way too much in real life time to be doing these things. There is another issue that the sim just stands there inbetween prompts as well, for up to 15 seconds! I cant continue playing if its going to be this bad..

This happened a few times now, when I want to order a grocery delivery via the fridge: The game will pause and grey out but no ordering menue ever shows up, I can still move the cursor and save but nothing else and have to restart.
On Xbox One, all packs, most kits.

The Sims Team
Sul Sul, Simmers,
Thank you for your detailed reports regarding the menu lag when interacting with refrigerators and cooking objects.
Our engineering team has thoroughly investigated the issue and found that a fix is not a straightforward bug resolution; it requires an extensive refactor of the underlying fridge interaction pipeline. Making changes of this scale carries a high technical risk of breaking other core systems.
To be transparent and manage expectations, we are closing this bug report and moving this thread to our Feedback board. Leaving it in the bug backlog indefinitely creates false expectations for a patch, whereas moving it to Feedback safely preserves your data. If our team overhauls the fridge interaction systems in the future, we will revisit your reports here.
We deeply appreciate your patience and help in making The Sims 4 better!

This is very disturbing. Parking it indefinitely does not differ from leaving it in the bug backlog. So the solution is to hide it?
