My sims are pitch black aka Black Faced!

I am a console player on PS5. I have one save file that has some of my sims skins pitch black. They look like minstrel characters which is highly disturbing! I have tired going into CAS but this did not fix the problem.  I have tired to see if my console needed and update, if the game needed an update, but no solution. Can someone help??
