Placed Doors and Windows Disappear in Build Mode

Frequently when I'm in Build Mode I notice that doors and windows that I've placed seem to 'disappear'; if I put all the walls up I can see the outline of the door/window but it - especially doors - doesn't register as being placed. (Pictures attached)

I can fix this by clicking on the door/window and re-placing it, however it soon disappears again. This has been happening for quite a while, I'm not sure which expansion it started with (and I have most installed).

It tends to happen more when I place another item and then Ctrl+Z to remove it. For example, with the attached pictures I placed a counter in the room and then didn't like it, so Ctrl+Zed to remove it.

Sims version: 1.117.244.1020.DX11
Platform: Windows PC [via the EA app]
Mods/CC are currently installed, however this issue started before any mods/CC were installed.
