Reaper Rewards event is broken.

Like many other people the Reaper Reward event is broken for me; I am on Xbox Series X and was only able to complete week 1. Then the quests part of the UI disappeared and I got stuck on Become Friends with Grim Reaper portion of the event and can no longer progress through any of the rest of the event. I can open the portion of the Event UI that shows me the rewards and tells me what goals need to be completed, but the actual quest portion itself does not show up no matter what I try to do to fix it.

There seems to be 0 fixes for console players and I've attempted playing offline, starting new saves, deleting save files, going through game settings and options then disabling and reenabling them, and even went so far as uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game and all my packs. The silence for assisting console players in this well known issue is staggering and speaks volumes; Our time and money is clearly not valued.

Absolutely nothing has worked to fix this issue and it feels extremely unfair at this point with 16 days left in the event and the complete inability to progress at all with no way to fix it in sight. Especially being stuck at halfway through Week 2 for me.
Are the event prizes just going to be unlocked for everyone with all of these known issues? If not, then I am most likely just going to end up quitting the game at this point and selling off my account because so much money has been spent just to keep having game playability issues, it's absolutely infuriating and has completely robbed me of being able to enjoy the game anymore. It's incredibly disappointing to see the Sims devolve entirely into a cash grab for EA when I have been playing since Sims 1. As a consumer I do not feel valued and I know I'm not alone in those feelings all across the board.
