Romantic Relationships decay/become negative fast with no interaction

I'm going to have to try this. I've been getting back into the Sims recently and this issue is driving me insane. Like it doesn't make me want to play anymore and that makes me really sad!

I am having this issue in 2025. I have no mods. I have tried everything and nothing is working. 

Hi!! I recently discovered this issue. I turned on testingcheats on and I ended up accidentally removing one of the spouses from the family (shift click on a sim), and I added them back to the family. Seems to have fixed the constant decaying.

Since buying the Buisness and Hobbies my sims romantic relationship with her husband will decay overnight. Idk what is causing it but it’s interfering with trying to run a tattoo shop. Anyone else? Any tips? 

Which pack is compatible with rational play ? ;) Kidding aside, I'll add that to the first post.

crinrict  it’s somewhat the second point, but importantly it decays to *Very Unsatisfied* and this is happening for *inactive* played sims, while playing other households rotationally. I’m afraid that without specifying this it will be overlooked, but the pack is currently incompatible with rotational play.

I'm very hopeful it gets fixed soon.

I'm not even sure what the culprit is at this point.

One household they have amazing compatibility with each other but they have a strained romance dynamic and fear of being alone. They are also both mean and he is evil. They fight everyday even between the romantic interactions I queue up.

Another household couple have a wholesome dynamic and they also fight but I don't know if it's because she is mean and they both have fears (alone and cheating)

I don't want to repair their relationships all the time lol. It needs some tuning 

I'm having this problem with all my Sims since Lovestruck came out. They'll be  married, attracted to each other, amazing compatibility, full romantic saatisfaction, doing romantic interactions every day (including emotionally connect, build up partner, sleeping while cuddling, woohoo almost daily). The romance bar is fine for a few days, then one goes to work or something or they have a kid and get busy for one afternoon and the romance bar is completely gone by morning.

I have to spend half the day doing romantic interactions to get the romance bar back up, wasting so much time it cuts into anything else I was doing with them in the game. If I had plans to raise super smart kids, or fully train pets, or reach aspirations and career goals, I have to start choosing between that and the relationship. I know the decay was meant to bring balance, but there is no balance because the relationship is always back to zero every morning no matter how good things were when they went to bed, and I have to start over with it.  It gets boring and frustrating.

If I don't immediately spend half the day trying to rebuild the romance bar because they have to clean or make money or whatever, they are soon warning each other that their romantic satisfaction is low and they might get divorced if the other is mean. Or one is afraid of being alone, the other is suffering from relationship fears, and I then have to resolve THOSE issues. 

I like to play families, and I don't mind if SOME of them have relationship issues or don't work out-- but ALL of them? It is sad that every single couple that gets married in my game now runs into this.

If this isn't a glitch, then it's one of those great ideas the creators had that was implemented poorly and should be changed.  The point of sims having different traits/personalities/lifestyles/relationship dynamics/etc. was supposed to be to make the game more fun with more variety, not to make it boring by every single sim having the same problems and issues. 

I play on PC, have all DLC, no mods, no cc, I have cleared cache and repaired the game multiple times, but each game I play, whether an old save or new one, same thing happens. 

I have the same issue and it makes gameplay very annoying. Sim gets married and want a divorce the next day.
