Sim keeps resetting randomly

Regularly when playing my Sims in relationships start having weird glitches when having romance interactions. When I try to have them have a romance interaction they reset and nothing happens. 

I have mods but this occurs even when I remove all mods from the game. This has happened in multiple save files.

Does anyone know how to fix this? It is making the game unplayable.

Did you delete the localthumbcache file after removing your mods/cc ?

Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.

unfortunately, resetting is very common and a general thread about them is makes it hard to track the causes.

 A known one is also a few Sims having a conversation at a table/bar and all resetting

Do you get any lastException files in your documents folder for any of the resets you're getting ?

i see this happen when i have a few different tasks queued up.  like if i am fertilizing several plants on the lot, clean up a dish, then bathroom and bed. after like 2 actions it resets. always intermittently because if i queue it up again they'll finish it.

I have 5 lastException files in my folder (not including lastUIException or lastCrash).

How do I know if those are related to the resetting ? (I mean I found the word "reset" in two of them if that is what I am looking for ?)

Sims often reset if they run into an error. It's like the visual for the error happening in the back hence a thread on resetting isn't that useful.

Could you upload your LastExceptions to google or onedrive and post the link here (make sure it's set to public)

EDIT: Marking this as incomplete for now as there are several causes for this. Not sure what EA wants to do with the upvotes. Wished everyone would just give info instead of just upvoting.
