My sims got engaged and then their relationship went from soulmates to acquaintances. One of the sims is now engaged to some sim she’s never met before and the other sims shows up under a different name in the relationships tab. At their wedding they could not get married because the game thinks they are not in relationship, even though when I’m playing as one of them, and I click on the other sim, it has an option to get married.

Please test your issue on a vanilla game
To verify on a vanilla game, move your mods folder to the desktop and delete the following files from your user folder.
- localthumbcache
- Any lastException Files
- Any LastCrash files.Best is if you test a new save after that to see if you can trigger the error again. I doubt the bug will go away by removing mods. If you have a backup from before that, try that.

So the same issue occurred again on a new save ?
I tried loading old saves with the same sims, the issue keeps occurring.
Do you have any old saves from before it started happening ?
If so, would you be willing to share your save with me ?
