Can't rotate camera

 I'm going insane!! The right-clicking to rotate the camera in Sims 4 is not working for me. I've tried everything. I've used multiple mouses, tried repairing the game, going into the game files and fixing it, deleting files so they create fresh ones, and finally, deleting the game and all of my expansion packs and redownloading them. NOTHING has fixed it. It is in build mode, live mode, and CAS for rotating the sims as well. I am at a loss, and I don't like using the comma and period keys to rotate the camera. Does ANYONE have a solution? I feel like I'm going crazy trying to fix this, and absolutely nothing is working.

Game version: 1.124.63.1220 with NO mods or CC's

    1. If you're using a MacBook of some sort does the Trackpad work as expected for the camera?
    2. "going into the game files and fixing it, deleting files so they create fresh ones," what game files have you "fixed" and what files have you deleted?
    3. Which version of macOS? Exact version please including all version numbers.
