sims constantly putting infant/toddler down in-between every interact

Every time i select feeding/change diaper/or any other interaction my sims will put them down on the floor and even cancel the queue. even if i cancel them putting them on the floor it still continues. negatively impacting gameplay. (no mods or cc)
