Sims standing around when not given a command (Autonomy on)

oh my goodness, i had the same issue as the other person. an update must have toggled it or something but that was the issue. thank you!!!!!

Ya my Sims will go sit by a computer and just stare at it doing nothing for hours.  No mods.

I'm having the same problem everytime I log into sims since I've downloaded adventure awaits. My sims are standing still until I tell them to do something. It seems to be a bit of lag for them to action the task and the game is constantly crashing. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled nothing has changed.

I've deleted my mods folder, reset the settings, restarted my computer, repaired the Sims 4, uninstalled and reinstalled, taken out my mods folder completely, used the resetsim cheat, and nothing has worked. My Sims will not move on their own unless I click on something for them to do. Example: if I click the toilet for them to use, they will use it, wash their hands, and just stand at the sink until I click on something else for them to do. Autonomy is on full.

I am also having the same issue.  My settings have  not been reset.  My sims just wont move but the NPC's move fine.  This is happening when I try to go on a getaway or when I'm on any public lot.

I cannot get my sim to do anything on their own, until their needs are far in the red. They still follow commands, but nothing else. I have tried to turn off autonomy, reload the game and turn it back on, with no results. I then removed all mods and cc content in case it was bugging my game. After this not working I uninstalled my game and even erased all previous game files because I cannot play with having to manually give all commands, but it is the same as before. The NPC sims seem to have no problems; one came in and stole a tv within minutes of loading up the new game file. I'm totally stumped and would love to have a fix to this.

Thank you so much for the reply, I went through the related forum and the problem was "autonomy for selected sim" was the problem under gameplay! I could not find any new forums on this myself for some reason, thanks again for the help :)

I left my game unpaused and when I came back my sim literally died from starvation. She was in the bathroom when i left and there was nothing blocking the way to get the fridge and stove.
