Sims stepping back into spotlight after each loading screen

My sims who have stepped out of the spotlight are now changing their minds apparently. Whenever I press "step out of spotlight", my sims are forced back into the spotlight after each loading screen. This happens in both my current save file and new save files. I noticed this bug since getting the most recent update this past week.
