Still can't launch the game with CC after 3/23 update

i'm having this issue too. i've tried everything

chiakidr​ edb3a94f3db1c719​ Please try renaming the Sims 4 folder, start and exit, then test with a newly downloaded known-working CC item. I use Peacemaker furniture for this because I know it all works.

If that works, try manually making a new subfolder in the new Mods folder and copy over only files, not folders. 

Note that sometimes copying files on and off of an external drive has caused issues, and you might just have to redownload what you still want to use.

SAME here. what's so infuriating is that mine started working again fine on 3/25/26, then SIMS pushed some weird repair and its broke again.

Mine was staying completely black tried restarting computer bc I couldn’t close game. I removed 5 mods to test and it loaded up finally. The mods were:

• mc command
• tool
• better build/buy
• ui cheats
• pregoo mod

I do not feel like narrowing these down tonight now that it’s in game but hope this helps.

If this helps - it wa UI Cheats Extension for me.  He even says it causes a black screen on his website.    I hear you re: narrowing it down.  Good luck fellow simmer.

My game only started when I removed Better build/buy and MC Command. I left Tool in the mods folder, the game loaded but I couldn't use Tool in game.
