Teen sims not going to part-time job/after school activity

I have a teenager and she’s in the video game steamer career in the morning and chess club in the evening. I don’t know if this goes hand in hand with the “join” feature for high school not working but it happened at the same time. I joined her at high school, when the day ended, she couldn’t leave. It showed her as “at school” even though I was on the high school lot with her attending the school day and she couldn’t attend the after school activity. I had to quit and go back in and since then she won’t go to work or her after school activity. Clicking on her and selecting “go to work/after school activity” doesn’t work, and clicking on the button in the career panel doesn’t either. I even tried to repair the game and nothing.
