They really messed up. Going deep into the base of a 10-year-old game and making changes is risky for my game. I wonder what could go wrong. ....... The game is a hot mess, even if you can play and save, which I still can.
Same. I can play, but several things are broken and the game crashes randomly. I have to save every few minutes. Once it crashed and I lost 20 hours of real time, play time despite having saved many times.
You cannot accept invitations from NPCs. Billpay doesn't show up/isn't available, work-from-home careers wont let you do tasks, home items keep disappearing. You cannot use some of the fishing locations in the island living pack. Building and moving sims can break the lots. When you build and try to save the lot to your library, landscape items disappear. One of my sims is married but is "currently working on the single and loving it lifestyle".
I have no mods, tried the "repair" option on the EA app (computer). I have tried to demo lots, evict residents, travel from lot to reset, debug cheats... I genuinely am upset that they haven't repaired the existing bugs riddling our existing packs... EA is greedy and just wants slop to be steadily fed to the masses. I have to keep reminding myself that game developers are not the problem. The only solution is to stop buying the packs.. which I loathe as a solution, because I have been playing the sims for 20 years.. :(

I'm still playing the game daily and looking to see what feels off too. I still have For Rent installed with all the rental play features turned off, I paid too much to uninstall.
My game is running fine without any crashing, and I can use CAS. All my cc and mods are up to date, I don't have too much in this game to create extra issues especially since sims 4 updates so much.
What worries me about the game is how after these most recent updates (3 in one week) my CPU is running higher than I like. I feel like this game is working my PC more than it needs to, but everything is still running fine. I'm ready for a new sims game but I will continue to play sims 3 and 4 until we get one. My CPU loves sims 3 and my sims 3 game is loaded with more cc and DLC than 4.

Same, but I have nearly every pack available. The sims 4 is running my gaming pc to its limit since the lovestruck update. I am still having crashing and finding new bugs every day. They issued a bug list that they are working to fix but the list was lacking imo. I play a lot. It’s frustrating to say the least. Glad to hear you can turn off the rental pack features to avoid the issues.
