I'm having this same issue as you after months of not playing I had the urge to come back. updated all my mods and it's still not working. Hopefully they fix it asap ☹️

This is a known mod issue. You still have an outdated mod. Any mod older than the July patch is likely outdated.

Try getting Better Exceptions mod to help you pinpoint which mod it is (it could be multiple - thousands of mods broke in July).

I dont know if it's my mods or my game but whenever I try to press play on a lot, it takes me back to the world selection screen or gives me an error and removes myhouseholds.

Im going through the same thing. Just updated my mods and still is stuck on world selection. :’(

When trying to select a family from the overworld to "play" you get the calssic loading screen but then get send back directly to "World select". It only works to play a family if u make them new in Sim customazation and then move them to a plot to live on.  After that still won't work to access them again.
So it foes not matter if it is a Family from before the update or after.
My mods are updated aswell.

This also happens with pre-made families from the EA Team.

I did try to access them again and got this "Fehlercode"

I made a  new sims, when I went to put them in the house, a loading screen come on then it went right back looking for a house. I tried repeating and reset the game and it still happening.

I can't play my game since update, everytime when i open one of my lot, it keep taking me to the world. I try everything to fix it, nothing works.

This not true, I tried taking out all of my mods and leaving better exceptions in to see if it way a mod issue or game issue. It is a game issue.

The August patch broke many, many script mods, with this being the symptom, and these are still the ones most likely to be your problem. Use the Previously Broken mods and CC for many (not all!) mods that have no updates. Use “Updated” in the Broken/Updated Mods list for patch 1.117, but note many are not yet updated or cleared in the current list.
