When starting in CAS I can’t pick the traits (they are completely blanked out)

Exactly what the title says but I have had this issue over the last several months. I can only change the traits once I am in the game and use the cas.fulleditmode cheat 😭 I have repaired the game, cleared cache and I have absolutely no mods or CC.
