[Xbox] Game cannot save

Every time I go to save my game I take the following steps; Click the pause menu, save game, click the save I’m in, and confirm to overwrite the save. However, instead of the game loading for a moment and saving the game properly it instantly closes the confirm save window and won’t let me back out of the pause menu until I restart my game. When I restart my game and load back in, the save I tried to perform prior to restarting my game is not there and hours of progress is erased. It does not matter if I’m in the game for 15 minute or 3 hours when I try to save. Every time I try to save it does this making the game unplayable.

    Sorry to hear that the game hasn't been saving as expected.

    Are you seeing any error messages when this happens? And does the same happen if you try saving to a new slot instead of overwriting the previous save? If you've been using the same save file for some time, that could be a contributing factor. It might also be worth power cycling your console if you haven't already.
