(XBOX) Live mode unplayable since recent update!

So far i've had zero issues with build mode, but ive mode is the worst its ever been for me! At random with no forewarning my screen will go black and the game crashes and turns off which just takes me back to my Xbox homepage and while yes I do try and remember to save frequently it's getting to the point where I'm having to save every couple of minutes and it means my sims are just reliving the day over and over and over again because I can't get any further due to the crashing, this is ever since the recent console update. I'm now having is my sims won't do any actions I tell them to, they just freeze and don't do anything even if I click 'reset sim' and it means they end up completely missing work etc and they are all now down to a poor performance. My sims also glitch during waking up and just refuse to get out of the lying down bed position even though their moodlets say they are awake. 

There is loads of other bugs occuring in my game (and others ive spoken to) and its making the game unplayable.
