[XB/PS] Console crashing

Hello, I’ve been playing sims 4 on Xbox 1 since 2015 and I haven’t been able to to play the game since an update in 2022 I’ve been waiting to see if it ever starts working again but it hasn’t I’ve done all the troubleshooting there is to do and still nothing unfortunately I’ve lost all my saved game data and all I’m left with is all my expensive expansion packs that I can’t even play I hope someone can fix this reading the other post it doesn’t look like this happened to anyone else 

What I’m experiencing is, every time I create a new sim and go to place them in the world the whole game crashes and it never saves the sim I just made the whole game just glitches out then freezes and takes me back to my Home Screen.

Please fix this issue so I can play the game again I don’t want all the money I spent on expansion packs to go to waste

Ever since the newest update my game keeps freezing making it borderline unplayable. I will try to speed up or unpause and it will stop for 3 seconds and continue same thing when I switch through people on the household. I'm on xbox.

When using CAS on my ps5, when switching between different detail menus such as the name and traits section or face details to body details the game cursor will freeze and will not allow you to select any options, only allowing you to close the game completely from the playstation menu. This has happened around 5 times since playing last night. 

For the past month my game will not always save 😭
When i click save game, it jumps back to main menu and if i continue trying to save the game freeze 

Im playing on playstation 4 and Sims4 is the only game that’s installed on my console 

I tried to uninstall sims and delete my save files but none worked 

I have all the updates on sims and ps4 updates

This has only begun after the latest April update console v 2.12 -- I've not had any issues with crashing during traveling or CAS entry prior to this. Playing PS4 Sims on PS5. Please do not attach my ticket to anything prior to April/ May as this is a separate issue!!

I have most but not all expansions, playing on PS5. To clarify this only happens when traveling to a new lot, and/or when editing character. The game will crash, I restart and redo steps again, this time saving prior to, then it works again normally until the next time I attempt to either travel or modify in CAS. 

Latest patch notes mention fixing a crashing issue for Business expansion, it is likely related.

I don't have the Sims 4 : For Rent expansion pack but I still had a save corruption issue. I play on PS4 and for some time now I have been having issues saving, randomly when saving my game crashes, whether I have played it for a few minutes or a few hours, I report the issue every time it happens. And recently when I wanted to save, I got a message that my save had been corrupted and after restarting the automatic game, I noticed that my entire personal gallery with all my creations, both terrains and families, had been deleted, I only had the basic Maxis creations left in my library that we have at the very beginning of the game. I've been playing The Sims 4 for 5/6 years, with the same game, that's about 15 generations of Sims from the same family, with homes and lots that I created and that I save in my gallery for 5/6 years with each new generation... So I lost a fifteen lots (maybe even more) and double or even triple the number of households because I was also saving my main Sim's siblings at each generation.

Seems like consule problem, you can attached a usb or external drive aswell to make a backup. But honestly no clue how to reload it there. Hopefully someone else can answer that.

Since you are ps player, do you own the pack sims castaway aswell? Had so much fun playing that one, still have and also the console.

No, as you already have multiple bug reports with the same issue "under investigation" for the last 2-3 years. When users post on technical issues, a save file is always requested and I followed through on my end. Feel free to attach this tech issue to an existing bug report you are still "investigating."

Please excuse my curtness  but the last time I posted here my ticket was closed and linked to an existing bug report. Thanks. 

When I’m in build mode, after I have deleted a certain amount of things from my lot, I can no longer delete anything else nor can I move anything to inventory, nor can I save my game. This has been going on for weeks. I even moved to a whole New World and a whole new lot and it is happening again on this one. This started after the previous update before the 3 packs were released. 
No mods or CC as I am on a PS5

Is anyone out there able to play the game on the ps5 right now? I haven't been able to and it's quite worrying, I've tried all the steps they suggest and nothing changes. Am I the only one?

What issues specifically are you having, can you provide a bit more detail on what happens when you try to play?

Hello there, sorry it took me so long to see this. Since yesterday the game won't even start. It gets to the initial page where they have us press X to play, but then It loads for a minute or só and crashes before reaching the main menu.

Thanks for those details! Are you seeing an error code or error message? Head to Settings > System > System Software > Error History and let me know what you see there. 

Yes. Thank you so much for the attention you're giving me by the way. It's error CE-108255-1.

Same thing with me I try loading in the game and before I even get to the main menu to play it crashes on me giving the same error code

Let's try the following, let me know how this goes for you:

Turn off Your system completely, let it sit for a few minutes and power it back on.

Check that your game is fully updated:

• Go to the PlayStation home screen. 
• Highlight the game you're playing and press the Options button on your controller.
• Select "Check For Update" and install any updates that are available.
• Restart the Console completely.
  
  

Make sure your console system software is up to date. 

• Select Settings at the top of the PlayStation home screen.
• Choose "System Software Update" and allow any system updates to install.
• Reboot your PlayStation.

Uninstall and Reinstall the game:

• Go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Delete.
• Select a game or application.
• Set check marks beside the data you wish to delete or Select All.
• Select Delete > then OK to confirm your decision.

Both the console and the game are fully updated. I'm looking for a a hard drive so that I can back up and Reboot my ps5. I'll let you know shortly.

The backup will take some time... Please don't close my case though. I'll let you know as soon as I'm done here.

I'm kinda having a similar issue myself. The game works all except the Island Living expansion pack. I tried Uninstaller and re download but all the content is showing as locked but it also shows as purchased but gives the error message: "something went wrong " CE-109367-6. Been like this the last 2 days

I've officially tried everything... Just finished rebooting my ps5 and the game still don't open. Crashing at the exact same spot. I've tried excluding It and reinstalling, followed all the suggested steps... Can somebody help me?

I'm frustrated. I'd been playing normally for a while, with the occasional crash that I didn't make a big deal of. But two days ago my game stopped working, always crashing at the same time, before reaching the main menu, error CE-108255-1. I was able to talk to someone on the support chat then, and the guy was nice but he couldn't tell me anything or help me in any way, giving me vague replies and pretty much repeatedly saying "we're looking at it and doing our best." 
Both system and game are fully updated, I've tried all suggested steps that the console gives once the problem occurs, I've uninstalled and installed the game, I backed up and rebooted my console BECAUSE OF ONE GAME ALONE, it took multiple hours, and nothing's changed. And now, to make matters worse, I can't even get someone to help me on the chat, the chat box won't even open, it says my request is number # (I'm not a mathematitian, but I don't think that's a number) and leaves me hanging. I'm feeling helpless.
